Introduction

 

            Everyone knows that Pinocchio and his father Geppetto were once swallowed by a whale. However, few people know that there is more to Pinocchio's adventures than what was originally told.

 

            This is the story of what happened after Pinocchio and Geppetto were swallowed by the whale – a second time!

 

            Pinocchio's new space adventure started one day when both Pinocchio and Geppetto were fishing from a dock near their village. With the memory of their first whale encounter still fresh in their minds, they had no desire to fish from a boat in the middle of the ocean and felt quite safe fishing from the dock. Little did they know that the same gigantic whale that had swallowed them once was now determined to swallow them again!

 

            The second misfortune with the whale started quite innocently when Pinocchio felt a tug on his fishing line. Thinking he had hooked a flounder, he started reeling in the line. However, it took only a few seconds for him to realize that he had hooked something much bigger. As the unknown fish pulled on the line, Pinocchio struggled hard to maintain control. If it weren't for Geppetto also pulling on the line, he would have fallen into the water.

 

            Whatever was hooked had to be huge. Both Pinocchio and Geppetto fought hard. However, their combined strength was not enough to prevent their “catch” from suddenly yanking hard...making both Pinocchio and Geppetto tumble from the dock and into the huge mouth of the whale!
